Fijian Drua’s head coach Glen Jackson has lauded Kemu Valetini’s impressive performance as flyhalf during their recent thrilling 36–33 victory against the Queensland Reds in Suva. This match marked Valetini’s first home start at the No. 10 position this season, after previously playing at inside centre.

Jackson expressed satisfaction with the decision to revert Valetini to his preferred role, stating, “I’m so happy for Kemu. We played him at 12, sort of got him into 12 a little bit. It was just a decision to put him back at 10 — that’s what he is.” Valetini’s tactical kicking and exceptional game management were pivotal in establishing strong attacking positions for the Drua, particularly noticeable in the first half.

Moving forward, the Drua’s win has bolstered their playoff ambitions and set the stage for a crucial matchup against the Blues this Friday, scheduled for 7:05 PM, which will be broadcast live on FBC Sports.

The recent victory also serves as a significant confidence boost for the team, as earlier articles suggested a blend of fresh talent and experienced players would be key for improving their standings in the league. The energetic support of the home crowd could provide the Drua with the momentum they need to continue their push for a more successful season, driving excitement and anticipation as they look ahead.
