Drua’s Captain Gears Up for Thrilling Home Season

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua captain Tevita Ikanivere is looking forward to the new season and aims to enhance their game strategies for the upcoming matches. He finds the experience of playing before the home crowd to be both special and motivating, reminiscent of the previous season.

Ikanivere is particularly excited about the seven home games planned for the Drua, with four taking place at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva and three at Churchill Park in Lautoka. The 25-year-old is especially eager for their first home game against the Brumbies, scheduled for February 15 in Suva.

Enthusiastic about the new format, Ikanivere emphasizes the importance of focusing on each match individually. “I saw the new format and how exciting it is. I’m looking forward to playing the Brumbies here at home, and I can’t wait for that first home game in Suva,” he stated. “We’ll take it one game at a time, build through the preseason, and refine our game plans. I’m excited for all our games next year.”

The Drua’s home schedule includes matches against the Crusaders, Brumbies, Reds, and Blues in Suva, as well as the Chiefs, Waratahs, and Western Force in Lautoka.
