The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua has bolstered its roster by securing the contracts of key hookers Mesulame Dolokoto and Zuriel Togiatama for the upcoming seasons. Dolokoto has inked a two-year deal, while Togiatama is committed through the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific campaign. General Manager Rugby, Baden Stephenson, expressed enthusiasm about the players’ re-signing, emphasizing their importance and leadership qualities as foundational members of the team.

Dolokoto, who made his debut as the Drua’s 28th player in 2022, has become a crucial part of the squad with 33 appearances and two tries. He has also captained the team on several occasions, showcasing his leadership abilities. His commitment to the club is evident, as he stated, “I am extremely blessed and grateful to continue with this amazing organization,” highlighting his hope for future achievements with the team.

Similarly, Zuriel Togiatama, who debuted alongside Dolokoto in 2022, has made 37 appearances with notable performances, including receiving the 2025 MOGUL Dausoko Award at the Annual Drua Awards Night. He expressed gratitude for the support of his family and excitement for another year, aiming to learn more from the coaching staff.

The retention of both players is particularly significant as the team faces the departure of captain Tevita Ikanievere. Their combined experience and leadership will be essential as the Drua looks ahead to the next season, aiming to build on past successes. Fans are encouraged to remain optimistic, as this strategic move reflects the club’s focus on stability and growth.

With the squad enhancing its depth and competitive spirit, the future looks encouraging for the Fijian Drua as they prepare for more thrilling rugby in the upcoming seasons. The synergy between experienced players and emerging talent could spell success as they strive to achieve their goals on the field.
