Swire Shipping Fijian Drua co-captain Tevita Ikanivere and star lock Isoa Nasilasila are set to make history this weekend by reaching 50 appearances for the Drua in Super Rugby Pacific. This momentous milestone will coincide with the team’s match against the Queensland Reds, taking place on Saturday at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

Ikanivere and Nasilasila have shown remarkable durability, missing only eight games over the past four years, which highlights their importance and performance consistency for the Drua. Their contributions not only strengthen the team on the field but also inspire younger players within the squad.

In addition to marking the milestone, the Drua will welcome back flanker Motikiai Murray, who has recovered from injury, further bolstering their lineup. The starting pack will see Haereiti Hetet take the loosehead prop position alongside Samuela Tawake at tighthead, while Ikanivere leads as hooker. The second row will feature Nasilasila paired with Mesake Vocevoce, and the back row will include Etonia Waqa at blindside, Murray at openside, and Kitione Salawa at number eight.

The backline will showcase promising young talent Philip Baselala at scrumhalf, linking with fly-half Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula. The wings are occupied by Taniela Rakuro and Ponipate Loganimasi, with Tuidraki Samusamuvodre and Iosefo Masi completing the midfield. Selestino Ravutaumada, a popular player among fans, will anchor the backfield at fullback.

The match, kicking off at 9:35 PM, presents a fantastic opportunity for the Drua to not only celebrate individual milestones but also solidify team cohesion as they pursue success in the ongoing Super Rugby Pacific season. The blend of experienced and youthful players illustrates a hopeful outlook for the team’s future endeavors.

Fans are filled with optimism as they anticipate a thrilling performance, driven by the Drua’s commitment to teamwork and resilience.
