Fijian Drua’s Head Coach Glen Jackson has announced that the team will not seek a replacement for excommunicated centre Waqa Nalaga. Jackson emphasized his satisfaction with the current options available within the squad, stating, “We are pretty happy with our midfield. We have got enough cover there,” highlighting the development of centres within the team.
Nalaga was officially released by the Drua on Monday, but Jackson believes the team has adequate depth to manage without him, drawing from a robust pool developed during their Super Rugby preparations.
This decision showcases the confidence the coaching staff has in their players and their ability to adapt. Such faith in the squad can foster a stronger team spirit and provide opportunities for other players to step up and shine in the upcoming matches. By focusing on the strengths of the current roster, the team may continue to perform well and maintain its competitive edge in the league.
