The McDonald’s Fiji Coral Coast 7s is the most popular tournament in the country, showcasing top local and international teams. Previous tournaments have seen legends like Waisale Serevi, the late Jonah Lomu, Rasta Rasivhenge, George Gregan, Bryan Habana, and Dan Norton, all of whom are honored in Sigatoka’s ‘Rugby Town Walk of Fame.’

Drua Head Coach Glen Jackson expressed excitement about the tournament, stating, “The Coral Coast 7s is a wonderful tournament, and it’s great for us to field a strong Drua team in the competition.” He added that fans will see some familiar Drua players alongside members of their Drua Development team, eager to showcase their skills against some of the top sevens players in the country.

McDonald’s Fiji Coral Coast Sevens Organising Committee Chairman Jay Whyte shared his enthusiasm for the Drua’s participation, calling it an honor to welcome Fiji’s first professional rugby franchise to the tournament. He extended gratitude to Mark Evans for his support during the previous year’s tournament and to Glen Jackson for his endorsement of the Drua’s involvement.

The tournament will take place from January 16-18, 2025, at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka, providing an exciting platform for the Drua to compete against the best in Fiji and beyond.
