After the conclusion of their season, the Fijian Drua is gearing up for a pre-season camp and a year-end event in Kadavu, as announced by Head Coach Glen Jackson. The team is set to embark on a five-day visit to Vunisea, starting Monday, which will include a community outreach initiative alongside a rigorous training schedule.

“We are incredibly excited about our trip to Kadavu next week,” Jackson expressed. He highlighted the work done by Mr. Naca Cawanibuka in the area and noted the strong connections many players have to Kadavu, making this visit especially meaningful for the community.

The Fijian Drua team will head to Kadavu on Monday evening and plans to return to Viti Levu by Friday. Additionally, the squad will present their i-tatau at the State House on Monday, a gesture that signifies gratitude and respect towards the local culture.

This initiative highlights the team’s commitment not only to their athletic development but also to community engagement, showcasing a strong bond between the players and their roots. Such activities can foster goodwill and strengthen relationships with local communities, promising a positive atmosphere as the players prepare for the upcoming seasons.

Overall, this venture represents a hopeful step towards enriching not only the players’ skills but also the community spirit of Kadavu.
