The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua showcased an impressive display of rugby at Churchill Park in Lautoka, delivering a powerful performance that sent a clear message ahead of the upcoming 2026 Shop N Save Super Rugby season. In adverse weather conditions, the Drua convincingly defeated the Skipper Select XV with a score of 78–12, securing the inaugural Sun Bell Battle of Fiji Trophy.
The match began with a try from No. 6 Joseva Tamani just eight minutes in, followed by winger Epeli Momo scoring ten minutes later. The Drua was awarded a penalty try in the 28th minute, with inside centre Virimi Vakatawa adding another try in the 36th minute. Co-captain Temo Mayanavanua further solidified the Drua’s dominance by scoring just before halftime, leaving the score at 35–12.
