The Fijian Drua Development team is set to bring excitement to the upcoming 2026 Shop N Save Supermarket Super Rugby Pacific season by hosting curtain raiser matches at their first three home games. The Drua Development squad will face off against teams such as the Australian Fijians, Malolo, and Ba in a bid to showcase the talent of emerging players within the club.

These matches will take place prior to the main fixtures of the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua, allowing fans to enjoy an action-packed day of rugby. The curtain raisers are scheduled as follows: on February 14, the Drua Development will take on the Australian Fijians, followed by a match against Malolo on February 28, and against Ba on March 14. All matches will be held at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

Fijian Drua Development Coach Nemani Nadolo-Kuridrani emphasized the significance of these games, stating that they represent a critical opportunity for the squad to gain match exposure and develop their skills against quality opposition. He expressed gratitude towards the participating teams, highlighting how the curtain raisers enhance the matchday experience for fans, who can enjoy two games in one day.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the curtain raiser matches, which will start at 12:30 PM, before the main Super Rugby Pacific games kick off at 3:30 PM. This initiative not only supports the development of young talents but also fosters community engagement in rugby, making for an enriching experience for supporters of the sport.
