Fijian Drua’s head coach Glen Jackson has confirmed that the team will not be seeking a replacement for the excommunicated centre Waqa Nalaga. The decision comes after Nalaga’s release from the team earlier this week.
Jackson expressed confidence in the current squad, emphasizing the strength and depth of the midfield options available. He stated, “We are pretty happy with our midfield. We have got enough cover there. We are very lucky around the development of our centres in there.” He noted that given the substantial number of players in Super Rugby squads, the team feels comfortable without seeking an immediate replacement.
This decision reflects the Drua’s commitment to building unity and trust within the existing squad, as they look to leverage their current talent pool moving forward.
Overall, while the departure of Nalaga marks a significant change for the team, it also opens the door for other players to step up and showcase their potential, fostering a culture of growth and resilience within the team. This approach could not only strengthen the team’s dynamics but also lead to exciting new tactical possibilities in upcoming matches.
