The Fijian Drua will not be seeking a replacement for excommunicated centre Waqa Nalaga, as confirmed by Head Coach Glen Jackson. Jackson expressed confidence in the current squad, stating that the team is satisfied with their midfield options and has sufficient cover in that area.
Jackson noted, “We are pretty happy with our midfield. We have got enough cover there,” emphasizing the team’s strong development of centres and the depth available within the Super Rugby squad.
Nalaga’s departure from the team was announced on Monday, but the Drua is committed to moving forward without adding to their roster at this time.
This decision showcases the team’s belief in their existing players and their ability to adapt to challenges. With a strong focus on development, the Fijian Drua appears well-prepared to navigate the upcoming season with their current lineup, which could foster growth and resilience among the players.
