The Fijian Drua Blue team emerged victorious in the inaugural Sun Bell Drua 10s tournament, clinching the championship title by defeating their counterparts, Fijian Drua Green, with a score of 14-5 in the final held at King Charles Park in Nadi.

Drua Blue showcased a strong lineup that included notable players such as Emosi Tuqiri, Zuriel Togiatama, and Mesake Doge, among others. On the other side, Drua Green consisted of talented athletes like John Muller, Mesu Dolokoto, and Meli Tuni.

The competition proved to be intense, with both Drua teams facing tough challenges from various provincial sides during the tournament. Malolo Rugby was a formidable opponent, securing several victories but ultimately falling to Drua Green 19-0 in the final pool match and then losing 7-0 to Drua Blue in the semifinal. Drua Green also narrowly defeated Nadroga with a score of 12-7 in the second semifinal.

A surprising highlight of the tournament was Nadi Rugby’s unexpected victory over Fijian Drua Green, winning 5-0 in their final pool game.
