ASCO Motors Fiji made a generous donation this week, providing a Toyota vehicle valued at $45,000 to the Serevi Academy of Rugby during a ceremony held at their showroom in Nabua. This initiative is part of Asco Motors’ ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility efforts, which aim to promote sports development and empower youth across Fiji.
Ronald Kumar, the CEO of Asco Motors, emphasized the importance of building strong relationships with local communities. He noted, “One of the biggest challenges facing our country right now is the drug epidemic. This vehicle will be used for community outreach and will help educate our youth, guiding them in the right direction.” Kumar expressed the company’s commitment to supporting projects that are aimed at tackling pressing social issues like drug addiction.
The Serevi Academy, founded by rugby legend Waisale Serevi, will utilize the vehicle to enhance its outreach programs. Serevi expressed gratitude to Asco Motors, describing the donation as “the best thing ever.” He mentioned that the vehicle will alleviate the need to rent cars for traveling to different communities, allowing him and his team to reach more locations to teach rugby and share valuable life skills.
