A driver was taken into custody last night after being found in possession of illegal drugs. The incident occurred at a restaurant in Kinoya, where the driver and three passengers were parked when police approached them.

A K-9 unit from the Fiji Dog Detector Unit was called to the scene to inspect the vehicle. The dog indicated that drugs were present, leading officers to search the car. During the search, they discovered three clear zip-lock bags containing a white substance believed to be methamphetamine hidden under the doormat on the left side of the back seat.

The driver has been placed in police custody as the investigation unfolds.
