Nischal Deo has successfully realized his childhood dream of becoming an electrician at the young age of 19, marking a significant achievement as the first member of his family to graduate. The Korociriciri, Nausori local completed his National Certificate Level Three in Automotive Electrical and Electronics at Pacific Polytech in a remarkable three months after discovering the program on Facebook.
Before officially graduating at a ceremony held at Vunimono Hall, Mr. Deo had already secured a position as an auto electrician with Carpenters Shipping, where he has been employed for four months. He expressed optimism that his new qualification would pave the way for a promotion within the company.
“This has been my dream to be an electrician one day,” Mr. Deo said, highlighting the importance of pursuing one’s ambitions. His dedication was evident as he balanced his practical training at Aksha Auto Electrical with his studies at Vunimono High School, preparing diligently for his career path.
Mr. Deo’s journey reflects a growing trend of young people pursuing vocational education to secure employment.
