In a closely contested match at the final pool stage of the FMF Inter District Championship, Flick Hygiene Lautoka and Flick Hygiene Suva played to a 1-1 draw at Churchill Park yesterday, resulting in both teams being eliminated from the tournament.

Lautoka took an early lead with a goal from Zibraaz Sahib in the first half, but Suva responded in the second half with an equalizer courtesy of Joe Moses. Despite their efforts, neither team could find a winning goal, concluding their IDC campaign.

After the match, Suva’s head coach Babs Khan discussed the difficulties his team has faced throughout the season. “We’ve had a lot happening lately, and although we hoped to win the IDC, our dream has come to an end,” Khan stated. He added, “Now, our focus will shift to avoiding relegation, and we are determined to come back stronger for the 2025 season.”

Both teams will regroup as they prepare for the next season, with the aim of improving and learning from their experiences in this year’s tournament.
