Ba came from behind twice to secure a 2-2 draw against Navua in Round 13 of the Digicel Fiji Premier League at the Uprising Sports Centre in Pacific Harbour today.
Simione Damuni gave the home team an early advantage, but young talent Penaia Nagatalevu quickly equalized just minutes later. Midfielder Rahul Krishna then put Navua ahead again midway through the first half, but a penalty converted by Mohammed Raheem allowed Ba to draw level before halftime.
The second half saw no goals added to the scoreline, but tensions rose as Ba’s Rahul Naresh and Ilaisa Nayasi were shown red cards. Following the result, Rooster Chicken Ba dropped to fifth place with 19 points, while Flowserve Engineering & Pump Supplies Navua remains in sixth with a total of 18 points.
