In a thrilling southern derby of the Digicel Fiji Premier League Round 15, Navua and Suva played to a 2-2 draw at the Uprising Sports Centre in Pacific Harbour.
Navua opened the scoring when Kolinio Sivoki’s free-kick took a deflection off a Suva defender, resulting in an early goal for the home team. However, Suva, undeterred by the setback, responded with impressive play from Gagame Feni, who scored two goals to give the visitors a 2-1 lead at halftime.
In the second half, veteran player Simione Damuni equalized for Navua with a well-timed finish, ensuring the match ended in a draw.
The outcome of the match did not alter the league positions of either team. Navua remains in sixth place with 20 points, while Suva is in seventh with 16 points.
