Dr. Raijeli Taga Takes Charge as Fiji’s New Permanent Secretary

The Public Service Commission has officially appointed Dr. Raijeli Taga as the new substantive Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister, following her role as the acting Permanent Secretary since October 14. This confirmation comes with the endorsement of Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka.

Dr. Taga brings a wealth of experience to her new position, having previously served as the Permanent Secretary for Lands and Mineral Resources. During her career, she has ascended through various roles in the Department of Mineral Resources, ultimately holding the position of Director for five years.

Mr. Rokovada highlighted Dr. Taga’s dedication to nurturing young talent and supporting graduates in achieving professional qualifications. Her interests lie in streamlining government service delivery, developing beneficial national policies, and fostering Fiji’s international relations.
