The Dominion Brothers under-20 sevens team is passionately focused on their dual mission of excelling in rugby and providing for their families as they prepare for the third leg of the Fiji Sports Council-organized U20 7s tournament this week.

Team manager Manasa Moto emphasized that the young athletes are motivated by the belief that rugby can be a lucrative path, allowing them to support their loved ones. “We instilled in them the notion that rugby has become a well-paid sport, and they understand the opportunities it can provide for their families,” Moto explained.

In addition to financial aspirations, discipline on the field is crucial, and Moto has stressed its importance to the players. As they head into the Savusavu leg of the tournament, he noted that their preparations have been going well. The team is eager to take part in the U20 series established by the Fiji Sports Council and Fiji Rugby.

With the tournament now moving to Vanua Levu, competition is expected to intensify, especially with local teams from Savusavu and Labasa joining in. Notably, the Dominion Brothers currently enjoy success in the tournament, having secured victories in both previous legs held in Navua and Sigatoka.

This news not only highlights the ambitions of these young athletes but also demonstrates the supportive environment created by the Fiji Sports Council to enhance grassroots rugby. The positive impact on communities, with a focus on family welfare, underscores the important role sports can play beyond the field, fostering hope and unity within the society.

In summary, the Dominion Brothers U20 team aims to excel in rugby while ensuring financial stability for their families, showcasing their ambition and commitment as they prepare for the upcoming tournament leg.
