Labasa forward Rusiate Doidoi has been summoned to join the Fiji National Football Team for the MSG Prime Minister’s Cup scheduled in the Solomon Islands. He takes the place of Mosese Nabose from Tailevu Naitasiri, who had to withdraw from the squad due to professional commitments.

Under the guidance of head coach Marika Rodu, the Bula Boys have been training since Sunday and are set to depart for the Solomon Islands tomorrow. Coach Rodu expressed optimism about the squad’s strength and resolve, noting that Doidoi’s addition will bolster their offensive capabilities.

The MSG Cup serves as a significant tournament for teams affiliated with the Melanesian Spearhead Group, fostering regional talent and unity among nations.

Fiji’s upcoming fixtures for the MSG Prime Minister’s Cup include a first-round match against Vanuatu on Thursday, December 8, at 2 PM. Subsequently, they will face Papua New Guinea on Sunday, December 15, at 5 PM, followed by a game against the Solomon Islands Development team on Wednesday, December 18, at 7 PM. The group stage will conclude with a match against the Solomon Islands senior team on Saturday, December 21, at 7 PM.
