The celebration of Diwali has united the Standard Concrete Tailevu Rugby Football Union and communities across Fiji in a joyful expression of togetherness and spirit. Union President Joseph Rodan Snr articulated how the values inherent in Diwali resonate deeply with the ethos of teamwork and community that define the Tailevu Rugby family.
In his heartfelt message, Rodan framed Diwali as a reminder of the strength found in collaboration, perseverance, and resilience—qualities that are vital not only on the rugby field but also in broader community actions. “On behalf of the Standard Concrete Tailevu Rugby Football Union, I wish all our Hindu brothers and sisters a blessed and joyous Diwali. Your unwavering support and collaboration continue to strengthen the bond that unites our rugby community,” stated Rodan.
He further expressed pride in working closely with the Hindu community, which significantly contributes to the union’s development initiatives, including grassroots rugby programs and essential community partnerships. Rodan emphasized that the spirit of Diwali inspires unity, respect, and inclusion—principles central to the union’s mission as it seeks to realize its Business Plan for 2025–2030.
As the Tailevu Rugby team gears up for the Skipper Cup semi-finals at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, the festive atmosphere surrounding Diwali reminds everyone of the shared values that reinforce community ties.
