“Divine Victory: MBHS U15 Rugby Team Aims for Final Glory”

The Marist Brothers High School (MBHS) Under-15 rugby team honored the late father of their player, Senitiki Kuruvakadua, by dedicating their 22-7 victory over Gospel High School (GHS) in the Vodafone Deans Trophy semi-final.

MBHS U15 head coach Jone Temo expressed during an interview that the team’s success was attributed to divine support. He emphasized the need for improved line speed and defense during halftime against the formidable Gospel side, stating that these aspects would be pivotal in their preparation for the upcoming final.

As they gear up to face Suva Grammar School in the championship match, Temo noted the focus would also be on enhancing strength and conditioning. He mentioned that many of the players are already athletes with solid fitness levels, though some are dealing with minor injuries. He remains optimistic that they will be ready to compete in the final.
