Disney+ and Hulu have achieved a remarkable milestone by securing the title of the world’s largest gingerbread house, as confirmed by Guinness World Records. This impressive feat commemorates the 35th anniversary of the beloved film “Home Alone,” which originally starred a young Macaulay Culkin.
The gingerbread house, a meticulous replica of the McCallister home from the film, measures an astounding 44,838 cubic feet and was constructed in just eight days. It boasts dimensions of 34 feet in length, 58 feet in width, and stands over 22 feet tall. The creation utilized an impressive 4,200 gingerbread brick tiles, along with nearly 1,800 roof tiles, all held together with 20 gallons of edible glue.
To further enhance its stability, the structure incorporated ten pounds of fondant and required 7,350 pounds of all-purpose flour complemented by over 6,600 eggs. This ambitious project not only showcases the creativity and festive spirit of the season but also serves as a delightful tribute to a cinematic classic, undoubtedly bringing joy to fans of all ages.
