The Pacific Tourism Organisation has announced that it will hold its annual South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE) at the newly opened Crowne Plaza Fiji in Nadi next year. The event, marking the 9th SPTE, is scheduled for May 9-10, 2025, following the successful SPTE 2024 held earlier at the Sheraton Fiji Resort and Spa on Denarau.
SPTO CEO Christopher Cocker expressed excitement about next year’s event, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to enhancing collaboration and innovation within the Pacific tourism industry. He stated, “Our goal is to create an exceptional experience for our members and stakeholders, one that drives meaningful connections and sustainable growth across the region.”
While the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa has been confirmed as the venue, Mr. Cocker noted that efforts are underway to ensure all logistical aspects are thoroughly coordinated for an optimal experience for participants.
The SPTE acts as an essential platform for tourism operators, wholesalers, and stakeholders to network, collaborate, and showcase the diverse attractions the Pacific Islands offer. Mr. Cocker highlighted that the event provides a distinct opportunity for tourism industry stakeholders to unite and explore new collaborative growth opportunities.
As plans for SPTE 2025 progress, stakeholders can expect access to resources on the event’s website in the upcoming months to assist with their participation.
