The Fijian Drua has unveiled a new book titled “The Rise of the Drua – How A Rugby Dream Captivated A Nation,” authored by renowned rugby commentator Greg Clark and experienced sports journalist Norman Tasker.
This book chronicles the club’s journey over the last 25 years, focusing on its formation during the COVID-19 pandemic and its ascent in the Super Rugby Pacific circuit. It details the team’s challenging path, including relocation efforts for players and staff, and their eventual return to Fiji.
The narrative serves as a tribute to the resilience and commitment of all associated with the team, including players, coaches, sponsors, and loyal fans, who are deemed among the best globally.
Beyond the on-field accomplishments, the book encapsulates the passion and spirit driving the Drua’s success. It includes exclusive interviews, insights, and previously unpublished photographs, offering behind-the-scenes stories for readers.
The release is set for October 11th, with the book to be sold at various retail locations. The paperback edition will be priced at FJ$35, while the hardback version will cost FJ$50.
