Discipline Pays Off: Meet the Baton of Honour Winner from Fiji

Mosese Tuimatai, a recipient of the Baton of Honour from Ratu Sukuna Memorial School, emphasized the importance of discipline for long-term benefits. The 18-year-old, hailing from Maumi Village in Bau, Tailevu, reflected on lessons instilled by his father during his upbringing.

Overwhelmed with surprise upon receiving the award, Mosese noted that he is the first in his family to reach Year 13. He stressed the significance of listening to parents, stating that such guidance is crucial for children.

“The cadet training program teaches self-discipline, providing students with valuable lessons that serve them well in the future. I am thankful to the teachers for facilitating the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces training, which played a crucial role in instilling discipline in us,” he shared.

Mosese harbors aspirations of becoming a marine engineer and expressed gratitude to God for reaching this milestone. He acknowledged his family as his greatest source of support and was pleasantly surprised to be honored with the Baton of Honour, stating that the recognition brought him joy and gratitude.
