Discipline Pays Off: Meet the Baton of Honour Winner

Mosese Tuimatai, a recipient of the Baton of Honour from Ratu Sukuna Memorial School, emphasized the importance of living with discipline, stating it brings long-term benefits. The 18-year-old from Maumi Village in Bau, Tailevu, shared that this principle was instilled in him by his father from a young age.

Tuimatai expressed his surprise upon being called to receive the award, noting that he is the first in his family to complete Year 13. He stressed the significance of listening to parents and highlighted how the cadet training program promotes self-discipline among students, which is essential for future success. He extended his gratitude to teachers for facilitating the training provided by the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces, which he believes has been crucial in fostering discipline.

Aiming to become a marine engineer, Mosese acknowledged the support of his family and the role of faith in his achievements. He conveyed his happiness and gratitude for receiving the Baton of Honour, an honor he did not anticipate.
