Discipline Pays Off: Meet Fiji’s Baton of Honour Winner

Eighteen-year-old Mosese Tuimatai, a Baton of Honour recipient from Ratu Sukuna Memorial School, emphasized the importance of living with discipline, stating it yields long-term benefits. Hailing from Maumi Village in Bau, Tailevu, Mosese expressed surprise upon being called to receive the prestigious award. He proudly noted that he is the first in his family to complete Year 13.

Mosese reflected on lessons learned from his father during his childhood, highlighting the significance of listening to one’s parents. He acknowledged the role of a cadet training program in fostering self-discipline among students, thanking the teachers for partnering with the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces to provide this valuable training.

With aspirations to become a marine engineer, Mosese expressed deep gratitude to God for reaching this milestone and acknowledged the unwavering support of his family. He conveyed that receiving the Baton of Honour was an unexpected honor, filling him with both happiness and gratitude.
