One of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ former girlfriends testified on Monday in his ongoing sex trafficking trial, stating she felt mistreated in their relationship and expressed a desire to cease participating in sexual performances with other men. The woman, testifying anonymously as “Jane,” recounted sending Combs a text message on October 16, 2023, in which she stated, “I’m not a porn star. I’m not an animal. It’s loveless for me and nothing satisfies you.” This evidence may support prosecutors’ claims that Combs coerced women into “Freak Offs,” which involved drug-fueled sexual performances that he observed.

Combs, who founded Bad Boy Records, has pleaded not guilty to charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. His defense acknowledges some dark aspects of his past relationships but argues that the women involved in these performances did so by choice. Prosecutors allege that Combs used physical force and threats, including the withdrawal of financial support, to compel women to participate in these activities, which reportedly occurred in hotel rooms over extended periods.

Jane, who was involved with Combs from 2021 to 2024, stated most of their time together involved sexual engagements with male escorts. She expressed her wish for more traditional dates but faced threats when she indicated her discomfort with the arrangement. One key instance involved Combs allegedly threatening to cut off her rent payments when she sought to end her participation in these performances.

Jane is the third woman to testify against Combs in this trial, which is now in its fifth week. The legal proceedings highlight ongoing concerns about abuse and exploitation in the entertainment industry, echoing earlier testimony from Cassie Ventura, another former partner who also detailed abusive behaviors linked to Combs.

As the trial advances, it signifies a critical moment for broader societal discussions about consent and power dynamics, shedding light on the experiences of those affected by abuse in high-profile relationships. This case not only seeks to address justice for the individuals involved but also catalyzes broader awareness and potential reform in how such cases are handled moving forward. The hope is that the judicial process will encourage survivors to come forward and foster an environment where accountability is prioritized.
