The Devo Babas rugby team is appealing to fans and supporters as they kick off fundraising efforts for their participation in the Vuda 7s Tournament in Australia, taking place from October 14th to 16th. Team manager Isoa Natui announced the launch of the “Saqamoli Drive,” aimed at gathering the necessary funds to facilitate the team’s journey and accommodations for this prestigious annual tournament, which coincides with Fiji’s Independence Day celebrations.

Natui emphasized the challenges of organizing a trip abroad, detailing the importance of financial support from the community. He stated, “It’s not an easy thing to travel from here to Australia… That is why we’re putting up our Saqamoli Drive, to all our diehard fans for Devo Babas, we seek your assistance.”

The Vuda 7s is highly regarded in the rugby calendar, drawing top teams and creating a competitive atmosphere that the Devo Babas have been actively training for in anticipation of strong performances from their rivals.
