The Rewa Football Association president, Nazeel Buksh, has celebrated the Delta Tigers’ impressive victory in the FMF IDC and Extra Super Premier League, viewing it as a significant reflection of the enduring values of discipline, faith, and unity that have been central to the Rewa community for generations. Addressing fans during a celebratory event at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori, Buksh pointed out that the team’s achievement was not a mere coincidence, but rather a culmination of years of dedication and mutual trust among players.
During a historic celebration at the 4R Stadium in Ba, where the Delta Tigers lifted the IDC trophy in front of a record crowd, Buksh highlighted the essence of their success—discipline, solidarity, and the indomitable Rewa spirit. He emphasized that their accomplishments stemmed from a long-term commitment rather than luck. “What we achieved at 4R Stadium in Ba was historic. Our boys reminded the country what the Delta Tigers really stand for,” he said.
Acknowledging the vital support from sponsors like Stratum Construction and Extra Supermarket, Buksh expressed gratitude for the resources that empowered players to excel. He also recognized Saraswati School for its role in fostering discipline within the team.
Looking ahead, Buksh announced plans for Rewa FC’s future, which include infrastructural development and youth programs aimed at nurturing both football talent and future leaders. He set an ambitious target for the club, aiming for a spot in the OFC Pro League within the next four years.
The recent victories have revitalized the Rewa football community, promising an exciting future. The unity and commitment demonstrated by the team, alongside the enthusiastic support of fans, showcases the power of sports to inspire hope and connection within the community. As the Delta Tigers prepare for upcoming challenges, the anticipation surrounding Rewa’s prospects continues to grow.
