The Ministry of Finance, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, has announced an extension of the application deadline for the $200 Back to School Support program. The new closing date for applications has been extended by one week, now set for Friday, December 13, 2024, at 5 pm.

Originally, the application period opened on October 31 and was scheduled to conclude today. However, this extension provides additional time for eligible parents and guardians to complete and submit their applications to the respective schools.

This decision reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring that all qualifying families can access financial support for back-to-school expenses, allowing for better preparation and easing any financial burden during the school year. Parents and guardians are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and submit their applications if they have not yet done so.

In a time when financial assistance is crucial for many families, this timely extension serves as a positive step forward, allowing for greater participation in the program and supporting students’ education.
