Chetty explained, “We granted the extension to allow more applicants to submit their entries properly.” He added that all award categories have seen submissions, indicating a diverse range of businesses vying for recognition. Investment Fiji has noted a strong focus on sustainability and innovation among the applicants.

Chetty highlighted, “Numerous reputable companies have demonstrated their capabilities and commitment to contributing to the nation.”

This year, new categories such as the Excellence in Employer Award, Excellence in Fisheries Award, Excellence in Forestry Award, and Excellence in Yasana (Provincial) Aspiration Award have attracted considerable interest.

“This signifies an increasing awareness of responsible business practices and a commitment to making a positive impact on our communities and environment,” Chetty remarked.
