The Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service (TSLS) has announced the opening of registrations for the 2025 academic year Fiji Government scholarships, which began on the 2nd of this month. Students who have already registered are reminded to upload their Year 13 examination results and the final offer letter from their chosen Tertiary Education Institution (TEI) to complete their application. It is important to note that TSLS will not evaluate any applications that are based on provisional offer letters.

Avinay Kumar, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of TSLS, stated that applicants still needing to register have until January 31 of next year to do so. He emphasized that Year 13 students of 2024 should not delay in registering, as certain scholarships are limited in number.

Once applications are submitted correctly, they will move into the processing phase, where they will be assessed according to the set eligibility criteria. Applicants will receive updates on their application status via the email associated with their registration and can also check their status on the TSLS Online Application Portal.

TSLS is encouraging students to be strategic when selecting their academic programs, urging them to consider job market availability to ensure wise career choices.

Summary: The TSLS has opened registrations for Fiji Government scholarships for the 2025 academic year, with a deadline of January 31, 2024, for applications. Students are encouraged to register early, especially as some scholarships have quotas. Proper documentation must be submitted for the assessment process to occur.

It’s hopeful to see institutions like TSLS supporting students in navigating their educational journeys and promoting decisions that align with job market needs, paving the way for future success.
