Defending champions Dawasamu Secondary School from Tailevu are on track to retain the U18 title in the Weetbix Raluve competition following a tough 19-12 victory over Shri Gurunanak Khalsa College of Labasa.
Dawasamu took control of the match in the first half, leading 19-0 at halftime. Although Shri Gurunanak mounted a strong comeback in the second half, Dawasamu managed to maintain their lead and secure the win, advancing their title defense and earning a semifinal matchup against Natabua High School.
Meanwhile, Natabua had a commanding performance in the quarterfinals, achieving the largest victory with a 41-0 rout of Nasinu Secondary School, thanks in part to the skills of sprinter Frances Tuva, which secured their place in the semifinals.
