Defending champions Dawasamu Secondary School from Tailevu are on track to retain their U18 title in the Weetbix Raluve competition after achieving a hard-fought 19-12 victory against Shri Gurunanak Khalsa College of Labasa.
Dawasamu showcased their strength in the first half, leading 19-0 at halftime. Although Shri Gurunanak mounted a determined comeback in the second half, Dawasamu maintained their composure to secure the win and advance to the semifinals, where they will face Natabua High School.
Meanwhile, Natabua High School delivered a stunning performance in the quarterfinals, overpowering Nasinu Secondary School 41-0, thanks to the prowess of sprinter Frances Tuva. This victory also secured Natabua’s place in the last four of the tournament.
