Reigning champions Dawasamu Secondary School from Tailevu are on track to defend their U18 title in the Weetbix Raluve competition, securing a hard-fought 19-12 victory against Shri Gurunanak Khalsa College of Labasa.
Dawasamu dominated the first half, building a strong 19-0 lead by halftime. Although Shri Gurunanak mounted a determined comeback in the second half, Dawasamu maintained their composure to protect their lead and ultimately clinch the 19-12 win, ensuring their place in the semifinals against Natabua High School.
Natabua, for their part, showcased their dominance with one of the most significant victories during the quarterfinals. With sprinter Frances Tuva leading the charge, the western powerhouse overwhelmed Nasinu Secondary School, securing a decisive 41-0 win to advance to the semifinals.
