Shalen Prasad triumphed in the Friends United 501 Darts singles competition held at Fiji Club over the weekend, claiming the top title. Shivneel Narayan followed closely to capture the runner-up position.
Salen Singh, a representative of the Suva Darts Association committee, expressed the organization’s delight in hosting the event, which attracted 48 skilled players, including several talented women. Singh conveyed heartfelt appreciation to all those involved in making the event a great success, particularly thanking Fiji Club for its excellent venue and the dedicated members of the Darts Community for their unwavering support throughout the competition.
Furthermore, the association acknowledged the generous contributions from Damodar Cinemas, which provided movie tickets, and Neel Shivam of Metro Gym, who sponsored the beautiful trophies and cash prizes. Special recognition was given to semi-finalists Ragen Mani and the impressive 12-year-old Seru Rehaan, who is the son of the late Mereia Ravasiga and Laurance Ram.
Special prizes were awarded for remarkable scores, and a recognition trophy was presented to Christine Inisha Ram in loving tribute to her late mother, Mereia Ravasiga. The event concluded with warm congratulations to all participants and winners for their outstanding performances.
