Shalen Prasad emerged victorious at the Friends United 501 Darts singles competition held at Fiji Club over the weekend, with Shivneel Narayan finishing as the runner-up. Salen Singh, a member of the Suva Darts Association committee, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to host 48 skilled players, including talented female participants.
Singh thanked everyone who played a part in making the event a success, particularly highlighting Fiji Club for its excellent venue and the support from dedicated DC members. He also acknowledged Damodar Cinemas for providing movie tickets and Neel Shivam from Metro Gym for sponsoring the trophies and cash prizes.
Special recognition was given to semi-finalists Ragen Mani and 12-year-old Seru Rehaan, who is the son of late Mereia Ravasiga and Laurance Ram. In a touching tribute, a recognition trophy was awarded to Christine Inisha Ram in honor of her mother.
Singh congratulated all participants and winners for their outstanding performances, emphasizing the community spirit and competitive nature of the event.
