Shalen Prasad emerged victorious in the Friends United 501 Darts singles competition held at Fiji Club over the weekend, with Shivneel Narayan securing the runner-up spot. The event welcomed 48 talented players, including several skilled women competitors, and was praised by Salen Singh, a member of the Suva Darts Association committee.
Singh expressed gratitude to all those involved in making the event a success. “We extend our heartfelt thanks to Fiji Club for hosting us, as well as to the dedicated members of the Darts Club for their unwavering support throughout the competition,” he stated. The event was further supported by Damodar Cinemas, which provided movie tickets as prizes, and Neel Shivam of Metro Gym, who sponsored beautiful trophies and cash rewards.
Special recognition was given to semi-finalists Ragen Mani and the young Seru Rehaan, aged 12, son of the late Mereia Ravasiga and Laurance Ram. Exceptional scores were celebrated with special prizes, and a dedicated trophy was awarded in memory of Christine Inisha Ram’s mother, the late Mereia Ravasiga, highlighting the event’s community spirit.
