Shalen Prasad emerged victorious in the Friends United 501 Darts singles competition held at Fiji Club over the weekend. Shivneel Narayan closely trailed as the runner-up.
Salen Singh, a member of the Suva Darts Association committee, expressed satisfaction with the event, highlighting the presence of 48 talented players, including several skilled female participants. Singh extended heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to making the tournament a resounding success at Fiji Club. He particularly acknowledged the club for its excellent venue, the dedicated members of the Dart Club for their unwavering support, and Damodar Cinemas for sponsoring movie tickets, along with Neel Shivam of Metro Gym for providing impressive trophies and cash prizes.
Recognition was also given to semi-finalists Ragen Mani and 12-year-old Seru Rehaan, who is the son of the late Mereia Ravasiga and Laurance Ram. Prizes were awarded for outstanding scores, and a special recognition trophy was presented to Christine Inisha Ram in memory of her late mother, Mereia Ravasiga.
Singh concluded by congratulating all participants for their commendable performances. This event not only showcased the talent within the darting community but also highlighted the camaraderie and support among players and sponsors.
