Former Fiji Bati player Daniel Saifiti has made the decision to join the Redcliffe Dolphins, marking a new chapter in his rugby league career after a significant tenure with the Newcastle Knights. Saifiti has been a part of the Knights since entering the National Rugby League in 2016, and he views this transition as an opportunity for a fresh start.

Expressing his sentiments, Saifiti acknowledged the need to step out of his comfort zone. “I was one of the senior boys at Newcastle; my brother Jacob and I were among the last remaining from our initial squad,” he reflected. “While it happens unintentionally, being comfortable can limit growth, and I recognized it was time for a change. After discussing it with my partner, we agreed that we were ready to move.”

At the Dolphins, Saifiti will have the chance to reunite with Kristian Woolf, his former coach. Saifiti emphasized the significance of this connection: “The Dolphins have many representative players, but what drew me here was the chance to work with Woolfy again. We formed a strong bond in 2019 during my first year with him, and our relationship has continued since then.”

After that initial phone call from Woolf to his manager, Saifiti felt a strong connection to the Dolphins, saying, “I knew from that first conversation that this was the right club for me. I’m just grateful for the opportunity to be here now.”

This move represents not just a career shift for Saifiti, but also a chance for personal and professional growth as he embarks on this new adventure with the Dolphins. Fans and supporters look forward to seeing how his journey unfolds in this new environment.

This transition serves as a reminder of the importance of adaptability in sports and life, encouraging athletes to seek out fresh opportunities for growth and development.
