Damon Chen emerged victorious at the Ba Golf Monthly Medal Tournament sponsored by Bhikhabhai & Company Pte Ltd, held at the FSC Ba Golf Club. His outstanding performance earned him the titles of Overall Nett and Monthly Medal winner with an impressive score of 61, demonstrating his remarkable skill and poise on the course.
Chen’s success extended beyond the medal as he triumphed in the club championship’s B Grade quarterfinals, defeating Sailesh Kumar with a significant four-up victory, solidifying his position as the top competitor of the tournament.
In the overall gross category, Asish Chand claimed first place with a score of 68 in the A Grade quarter-finals of the club championship, overcoming Mitlesh Nand with a six-up win and five holes remaining, showcasing a commanding performance.
Indra Warjan topped the A Grade nett competition with a score of 67, closely followed by Rajen Singh, who finished with a score of 69 and also received the nearest to the pin award. Rohit Chandra, who secured the longest drive, narrowly won his quarter-final match against Warjan one up.
In the B Grade, Samisoni Mara matched Warjan’s score of 67 to take the top nett position, while Christopher Daniel followed in second with a score of 69. Brendan Daniel advanced in the club championship after a tightly contested match against Dinesh Narayan, winning two up with one hole to spare.
The C Grade competition saw a tie for first nett position, with Sunil Sharma and Prakrit Naidu both achieving scores of 70. Naidu progressed in the Club Championship after a convincing four-up win against Pradeep Chandra with three holes left to play.
