The Cuvu College Under-18 rugby team is focused on enhancing their performance, particularly in scrums. This statement was made by assistant coach Samisoni Navatu during a discussion with SUNsports.
Despite a close 23-22 victory over Ratu Kadavulevu School, the team remains aware of areas needing improvement. Navatu described the match as challenging and expressed gratitude for the win.
“We came here with the goal to win and we did that. Credit to the boys for a job well done,” he said. He also mentioned some confusion over the initial announcement of RKS as the winner, expressing relief when the decision was corrected.
“We’re happy the decision was reversed, but our work isn’t finished. Some of our boys are still 17, while others are 18, yet they managed to pull through,” Navatu added.
He urged their dedicated supporters to come out in large numbers to support the team in their upcoming semi-final match against Nasinu Secondary School this Saturday.
