Cuvu College’s Rugby Team Aims for Glory Amid Scrums Struggles

The Cuvu College Under-18 rugby team is focused on enhancing their skills, particularly in scrums. Assistant coach Samisoni Navatu shared this insight during an interview, acknowledging that there is still potential for improvement even after their thrilling 23-22 victory over Ratu Kadavulevu School, a team favored to win the Vodafone Deans Trophy.

Describing the match as incredibly tough, Navatu expressed his gratitude for the win, stating, “Glory to God for this win.” He emphasized that the team came with the intention of victory, and he commended the players for their efforts.

Navatu also pointed out some confusion surrounding the final score when officials mistakenly declared RKS as the winner, but they were relieved when the decision was corrected. He noted that while some players are 17 years old and some are 18, they were able to deliver a solid performance.

He urged loyal fans to gather in support as they prepare for their semi-final match against Nasinu Secondary School on Saturday.
