The Cuvu College Under-18 rugby team continues to focus on enhancing their performance, particularly in the scrums. This information was shared by assistant coach Samisoni Navatu during an interview.
Despite securing a surprising 23-22 victory against Ratu Kadavulevu School, favorites for the Vodafone Deans Trophy, Navatu acknowledged that there is still room for improvement. He described the match as challenging and expressed gratitude for the win, stating, “Glory to God for this win.”
Navatu highlighted the team’s objective was to win, and they achieved that goal, praising the players for their efforts. There was some confusion regarding the final score, as officials initially declared RKS the winners. However, the decision was later corrected, much to their relief. He noted that while some players are still 17, others are 18, they collectively managed to perform well.
Navatu is urging their dedicated supporters to come out in full force to cheer for them during the semi-final match against Nasinu Secondary School this Saturday.
