Cruise Ship Buzz: Pacific Adventure Makes Waves in Lautoka!

The Port of Lautoka is currently active with a busy schedule of cruise ship arrivals and departures. According to the Cruise Mapper Website, P&O Cruises Australia’s Pacific Adventure arrived in Lautoka on August 19 for a 12-day round-trip cruise through Fiji. This 23-year-old ship can accommodate up to 3,174 passengers and has a crew of 1,100 members.

The Pacific Adventure, which was previously named Dawn Princess, set out from Sydney on August 13 and stopped at Mystery Island in Vanuatu on August 17. After its Lautoka visit on August 19, the ship will head to Dravuni Island in Kadavu before returning to Sydney on August 25. With a construction cost of $1 billion, the vessel is powered by a Watrsila-Sulzer engine.

Prior to heading to Lautoka, the ship was located in the South Pacific Ocean at coordinates 17.60497 S / 177.43772 E. Following the Fiji adventure, the Pacific Adventure will embark on a nine-day Barrier Reef Discovery Cruise, leaving Sydney at 4 PM on August 25. The cruise will take passengers to Queensland and Cairns, before docking at Willis and Moreton Island and returning to Sydney on September 3.
