Marica Waqaniburotu celebrated a remarkable achievement by being crowned both Miss Friendly North 2024 and Miss Charity at a grand event held at Subrail Park in Labasa, attended by thousands. In her acceptance speech, she dedicated her victories to her family, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support. “This victory is for my family, who have been my biggest supporters,” she stated, acknowledging that their love and encouragement have been her greatest motivation. Waqaniburotu also praised the other contestants, affirming that all participants were winners in the competition. She emphasized that her crowns represented not only her journey but also honored the queens who came before her. Additionally, Adi Volitikoro, representing the Labasa Town Council, was awarded first runner-up, while Vika Tadu, Miss Northern Civil Service, secured the second runner-up title along with the Miss Photogenic award.
