The 2024 Miss Hibiscus crown has been intricately designed by the royal jeweler for Queen Nanasipau’u of the Kingdom of Tonga. Maria Yang, a skilled jewelry designer and contemporary artist, has handcrafted this luxury vintage crown featuring Swarovski crystals and pearls.
The exquisite piece is adorned with alloy, silver, and gold plating, showcasing fine craftsmanship. Yang is a certified emerald appraiser from the Hong Kong Jewelry Institute, a researcher in colored gemstones, and a member of the China Collectors Association.
She is also the founder of ‘Star Wisdom’ Jewelry and ‘Cheese de Mars.’ Since 2019, Yang has made her home in the picturesque Pacific Island of Tonga, where she serves as the royal jewelry designer to Queen Nanasipau’u.
